A Better LA is a non-profit that promotes community safety + provides support services to marginalized populations across Greater Los Angeles. The group was started in 2003 by then USC coach and current Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll as a response to the gang violence epidemic in Los Angeles.

ABLA brought us in to create the concept and design for their yearly fund-raising gala materials. After exploring a few initial design directions, we landed on event materials that centered on a nighttime, sunset-like color palette over original photography of the city skyline and used a custom road map illustration to bind all the elements together and create continuity between pieces and panels.

In addition to the tri-fold event invite, response card, and envelopes, we also put together an electronic event deck to drum up support and interest early on, the event program, and event signage including multiple branded banners and backdrops.
